Another example of the evils of money in football and the imbalance created by the money bloated Premier League. Need to rem though that there are lots of slips twixt cup and lip from a talented 15 year old prospect to a mature Centre Half.

We all know that there is a huge difference between talent at 15 and the finished player but Rovers have scouted him and my question is do they get compensated if he is stolen by a bigger club, especially Manu.,who appear to think they have their pick of the youngsters at any club outside of the top 6?

Never heard of him myself but at 15 if The Scum steal him and ruin him like they did with Jones do Rovers get anything out of it? I'm not sure at such a young age.
Don't worry guys, there's not a cat in hells chance he's going anywhere. He is a bloody good 'un though and genuinely one to get excited about!

Reminiscent of 17-year old Callum Wright's departure to Leicester in January, although Garrett at 15 is even worse.

But depressingly this is the modus operandi of big clubs these days. 20 years ago we'd get 2-3 great seasons out of a Duff and sell near the peak of his value, 10 years ago we'd get half a season out of a Jones and sell for maybe half his potential peak value, now we don't even get a season in the under-23s and get a million tops before our youngsters are snatched away.

The sobering reality is our top drawer youth facilities at Brockhall are useless if players are already gone by their mid-teens. And the young "stars" still here who do try and break through, like Tomlinson (20) and Nuttall (21), were already rejected by the big boys years ago, probably for good reason.

Do you know something that we don't know then. I'd be really pleased if I knew he was staying.
