Two of my relatives, in their late 60’s, and both triple jabbed have tested positive. Luckily having had their jabs they should stand a good chance of staying out of hospital but their holiday season has been buggered up.

How stupid for people to risk their lives because they don't want to be vaccinated but how doubly stupid to risk two lives and especially so when one life has no say in the matter! Worse still should the decisions actually have been made by men! Whether they be husbands or more particularly unrelated religious leaders with their heads stuck so far up their blinkered arses that they can see daylight!

I can't believe how many people I know are testing positive for Covid at the moment. It's bloody rampant, Matter of time before we all get this latest strain.
btw anyone know what's happened to the original and Delta? It seems to be all Omicron at the moment but surely that cannot be the case.

If true that is horrific. I find it hard to believe personally.

Then only saving grace is that it's working out to be less severe. How much of that is down to the vaccines I cannot say. I think we are all going to have to get the Omicron variant as most people I know who have had it (... and there are increasing numbers of them) reveal that it's just like catching a cold. The side effect is beneficial for most people as it's like having another booster jab.

It rather reminds me of a mumps epidemic when I was about 9 or 10. The class size went down daily from about 28 to 25 to 20 to 18 ...... and then I got it! I rem I was bloody ill with it and off skoo for a fortnight or more. . In truth most parents wanted their kids to get mumps before their balls dropped (as it can have severe consequences for lads) so much so that there were 'Mumps parties' organised to make sure everyone got it.
