Crikey!!! Any you criticise Joy Divison? 'The Greatest Showman' is hardly heavy metal is it?

Critics panned it but I believe the public disagree and in fact they are releasing 'singalong' showings where they encourage the audience to participate by showing the words on the screen so that the audience can sing along with the music. I guess it's like a mass karaoke session! Think I'll give it a miss Abbs.

Anyone seen the CRITICALLY acclaimed
Shape Of Water ...it's hands down THE worst film I've seen in years. Gord, critics loved it but it is the most cringeworthy movie of the century . To say it's a 2017 film the set is worse than a 1970 DR who one. Blue Peter could of done better.

I've noticed that it's getting plenty of advertising time.

Sick of the bloody Oscars. BBc needs to keep it off the front page news and bury it near the end ffs!

Just watched "Pain and Gain" again. Came out a few years ago, not very popular with the critics for making light of violent criminals. But if you can suspend morality somewhat, man is it darkly hilarious. One of the funniest films I've seen.

Just read the true story behind the film. Sounds like a real life GoT torture of Theon Greyjoy by Ramsey Bolton. Seems the USA has problems with criminal immigrant gangs on the make too.

Just as an aside I've always been led to believe that it's difficult to live and work in the USA so how come a penniless Hungarian with no exceptional skill was allowed in?

The last sentence sounds like the 40 year old Syrian school boys from last year.

I watched the 2nd Kingsman over the weekend. A fantastic couple of hours of funny, rip taking of spy films . Critics said it's to far fetched but the irony of it is that it's supposed to be. Don't watch the 2nd without watching the first tho .

The fight scene in the church in the first film will live long in my memory!

It is far fetched but whats so wrong with a bit of escapism in our lives? Dunno if you rem Callan but what a great 'spy' series that was. Great acting and definite;ly low budget but an exercise in the gritty reality of being 'licensed to kill'. About as far from the James Bond fantasy as one could possibly get.

Bond was always done with a sense of humour until the latest actor which is now just another spy story and definitely not we have come to expect from Bond. I know a lot like him but it is not for me. Roger Moore did him best. Yes my opinion of course.

Connery imo by a country mile over Moore. He actually looked menacing whilst old Ivanhoe looked like a toff. Daniel Craig is excellent and manages to find a half way house between Connery's 007 and Edward Woodward's David Callan.

Daniel Craig makes a good spy film but he will never be Bond as far as I am concerned. The cruel humour is completely missing.
