Here you go........ Sheffield United 3-3 Blackpool FC | Championship highlights | Video | Watch TV Show | Sky Sports
2-3 Up and 2 Blackpool players pressed the suicide button. They deserve the wrath of their Manager, their teammates and the BPool supporters.

Sending off 1. Stupid. Bollocking required. Obviously on a booking and with 3 v 1 in the box there was no need to lunge in.

Sending off 2. Stupid. Bollocking required. OK He'd been shoved into the hoardings but another for whom it was a second yellow. A pro should not react like that when on a last chance.

Penalty.... May have had his shirt pulled but he went down after the BPool player had let go. Dive and should have been a booking imo. Glad they missed it.

3rd Sheff Goal in injury time plus 7 mins. Never ever slow down and turn your back on a shot!

Sending off No 3 Didn't show this but from the Radio commentary....
Stupid reaction by SU keeper after the final whistle. Going for promotion and now he'll miss 3 matches.
No idea about sending off No 4 but he'll miss 3 matches too I'd imagine.

As for VAR...... Lot's of Refs are Homers and VAR was supposed to negate that. At it's inroduction VAR was good but now I have to wonder how some decisions are arrived at. If we'd had VAR at Wigan I'm sure their goal would have been ruled out for a number of fouls on Morton.

I wasn't a fan of VAR before it was brought in because I thought it'd start muting fan reactions to goals as they'd all start being checked.

Thats not been as bad as I thought though, and my god do Championship refs need the help.

Made the point before but Dack didn't start any of the 10 games he was available under Mowbray last season either.

His situation is starting to remind me of Benni McCarthy. 2 and a half years of McCarthy warming the bench more often than not, under 3 different managers (including the one who bought him) and fans chanting for him to come on all that time whenever we were getting beat.

McCarthy was still a lethal finisher, Dack can still play a killer pass. But its about overall contribution, number of sprints, miles covered, tackles, interceptions, number of times finding space etc.

McCarthy's overall contribution dropped off a cliff due to not keeping himself at peak fitness, believing his own hype, sulking at Santa Cruz taking over as main man, injuries etc. For Dack its injuries and the disappearance of the number 10 role in my opinion.

But when multiple managers who see a player every day in training refuse to start them week in week out, I think there's a very strong likelihood its because they're no longer good enough.
Granted I have not seen him in training but in the matches I have seen him in (Cup etc.) he has been the main man. I don't know what this (I'll say it again) idiot manager has against him.

Well he's off the hook for the time being now Al cos we won. Also Szmodics played a blinder off the ball with terrier like aggression to break up and disrupt Boro's play. I'd say that is his role now... being saved for the last quarter when we are in a winning position. Might be an idea to give Dack 60 mins and then replace him with SS?

Come on Alan, a few questionable team selections and formations and his seeming dislike of a player you rate isn't sufficient to make that assessment of the man after he's been here 2 mins and is still getting acclimated to the squad and league. I'm in 100% agreement with you that I'd like to see Dack used more, I still see him as one of the best players at the club, but who really knows what goes on behind the scenes, in training etc, that we don't see. Maybe his face just doesn't fit, maybe JDT feels his work rate isn't what he wants, I don't know, but I wouldn't take a stance against a new manager based mainly on a disagreement over the merit of 1 player.

I'm hoping that in a few years time, you'll be eating your words, not so I can come on and have a gloat, because I certainly don't know for sure if JDT is going to make the grade, who does? But rather if you're eating your words, there's a chance we'll be in the Premier and talking about him as being a stellar manager, a bit shaky at the start, but turned out to be a cracker.

Great Post 1SG
I want Dack to play for many reasons
I admire that he has even got this far after two horror injuries
That he signed a contract and was wiling to earn us a big pay day if he bounced back after his first injury
That he clearly just loves to play football
That he is the best finisher at the club ( by a large margin)
That he has vision and guile and a killer first touch pass in his locker - that he isnt scared to use!
Lots of reasons, but as 1SG points out, maybe his fitness isnt quite there - or he isnt willing, or capable of doing what JDT wants.

Whatever the reason, we are one point off the top of the league, we are in a play off place, and have won more games than any other team in the division
I hate that we are so Jekyll and Hyde, and I still feel like we are winging it, but we are doing ok in the area that matters - League Position
If WLWLWLWL Becomes WWLWLWWLWWL we could be making the play offs or better

I must say that was a great win yesterday and the sequence continues.
What a goal from Gallagher! It reminded me very much of Shearer’s first goal for us at Crystal Palace or Reid’s rocket against Wigan!
It flew past the goalie who never moved. Mowbray always said he had a rocket of a right foot so I’m hoping now as a No.9 he can use it more often.
As for Dack now that Travis is out maybe a late cameo replacing Szmodics?

Sorry but I don't agree. The manager has an irrational dislike of one of our best players.

An irrational dislike?
You must be clairvoyant or very close to JDT?
Surely it seems a more obvious conclusion that Dack simply isn't capable of the required work rate.

I've seen Dack play and as far as I am concerned it's an irrational dislike unless there has been a bust up.

Dack needs to come on and play support striker / in the hole when we` need a goal. He tries to create and finish and drops too deep, too often imo. Would have done no harm whatsoever to have brought him on after Wigan scored last week, alternatively from what I saw at Boro Szmodics is the man to come on when we need to defend from the front.

However I'll chuck this one in and say that if JDT is under instruction to get Dack off the wage bill he is doing a mighty fine job. 🤔

The eagled eyed amongst you may even believe I have spelled (’spelt’ in Blackburn) Mydilsburgh incorrectly in the title of this thread; “nay” I respond, it is only me showing my expert knowledge of English history as that was the original Anglo Saxon spelling (spelting in Blackburn) from 400-1000 AD. You are so lucky to have me doing these previews given my travels, historical knowledge, grasp of the English language and my expertise in all things to do with love and erotica.

Are you sure BB? My brother in law has always called it Migglesbrough ..... and he's pretty old!

That's a very good point Gordon. It's the only reasonable conclusion.

Quite right too, it's all about the team not the individual. He's been well looked after for two years whilst out injured and now can't or won't shift his fat lazy arse in training.
I'll drive him to Sunderland.
What a waste of talent 😡

Been watching training have you.? What makes you think he doesn't train hard? Are you privileged to attend? You are just saying that to boost your case.
When he's been picked he's run his arse of for both u21s and the first team and cups. The team did well last night but for him not being even on the bench is criminal.
Maybe Drog is right and his wage is too high so he's being forced out. After what he has done for this club that is nasty and wrong.
