Good effort although we should always have a good following at Stoke on a Sat afternoon is only a hop and skip away.

Mind you i'm at the boxing :p

I think he'll revert to type again with the usual team and formation if Mulgrew is available, possibly Williams at LB instead of Bell.

If he starts Conway again he needs to have a long word with himself.
Indeed. TM does show a lot of faith in his players and stand by them if they are suffering a dip in form. A difficult ask when other players are quite rightly chomping at the bit and eager for a start. I haven't seen Reed play yet but I'm amazed that we are leaving Rothwell on the bench so often. I certainly like what I see with him. Top that off with Palmer, Dack and Armstrong competing for attacking mid berths plus Rodwell still to figure and we have plenty of options.

I think you can get away with that when the team is doing ok or a few are performing well and carrying the others, reliable players have to be given chance to play through their dips, they all have em regularly at this level I suppose.

To be fair he does give them chance then wield the axe when he feels he has to in some cases but weirdly not in others.

Very good article that WB.

"Mowbray said he has spoken with Rothwell to explain his position, adding: “That’s my management style, I care about my players. “I don’t bring them to football clubs to sit them on the bench. They have to understand there’s an adaptation period, understand they have to sit and listen in my meetings, listen to me screaming at players and giving advice, and they have to be clever enough to take it on board."

Treating them like adults is why the players so obviously respect him and why they obviously train and look after themselves so much better.
Reminds me of Liverpool under Shanks. They bought the best up and coming players on the market and then stuck them in the reserves for 6 months to learn 'the Liverpool way' in both playing the game and attitude. First to break that sequence was KMD who due to Keegan leaving for Hamburg was drafted straight into the first X1 (or the 'big eds' as they were known within the club.

Kate Garraway ask me to forward this photo of her dressed specially in Rovers away yellow:

Her message is: “My dear Bradders, please stick one in for me kiss kiss”.

Went in to today thinking it might be another big team too far for newly promoted team, in just seven days, but was underwhelmed when checking out Rowatt's summer signings (don't rate either Ince or McLean). Stoke are favourites, but with Mowbray's young lions, and Bradley 'low centre of gravity' Dack onboard, we're a match for anyone in this league. The pressure's on the Potters!

Maybe we should try to contact Kate and ask her to be our official site pin up. She may be flattered and send us signed photos etc.
