I would have preferred Bennett for Evans and Rothwell for Smallwood with Armstrong for Bennett on the wing Evans still doesn't do it for me in spite of the statistics.

evans and smallwood have been fantastic the last couple of games and evans all season.

I thought Mulgrew was ill?

I haven't seen Reed yet and he's taken the place of Armstrong so how will he fit in with Smallwood and Evans? Will he play wide in a 4-4-1-1 or will it be more of a 4-3-2-1? I've no idea about him except that he's a ginner so is he most naturally suited to defensive mid / wide mid or attacking mid? Also I think that I have read that he's left footer, is that correct?

That was the excuse in midweek Gord. Now it's an "injury."

I like Reed but I see him as as left footed centre midfielder so I don't know what's in the manager's mind.
