Sounds like it was give and take and escalated as these things do. It's always been the same hasn't it? Might be cruel but the old saying was that 'it'll make a man of you' applies. It's all bollox. Apparently the immortal words of Matthew Simmonds..... "Fuck off you French Motherfucker" is racist too.... or at least that was the best Lanny Wadkins could come up with to get Cantona out of a GBH charge. Because it was Man Utd it worked too! Surely Cantona would have deemed "French" the only bit that wasn't and insult. I know I would have if the roles had been reversed! Since then the racism issue in football has been vastly overplayed. It's just pathetic and if this country really is racist and psychologically damaging it certainly hasn't put any of football's imports off coming for the money has it?
People need to toughen up, wise up, shrug their shoulders and move on. Nothing and no one will ever stop discrimination. It is part of the human psyche. Discrimination is not solely a matter of skin colour it's all kinds of things but no one in the press and media etc appears to recognise that as such. Real discrimination is not a few verbals etc, real discrimination is a 3 on 1 violent attack in a back alley and that is certainly not the sole domain of white people.

I rem when my lad was 9, another lad's Dad and I ran the local Cub Scout team. We won the League and the Cup double with an ordinary set of lads for two years on the spin, simply because we were very strict and organised them to play in their positions and not all chase the ball. Great kids at that age. I think I was positioned somewhere between an older brother and a favourite Uncle to them. We trained Sat morning for an hour in every kind of weather and the thought of this tragedy really strikes home with me.

Sheffield United fans will be watching this and thinking 'where has this been all season?' - this is the Sheffield United of last season. Hard to beat, well organised, when they go forward they have ideas. Yes they haven't got that finishing killer instinct and they didn't have it last year - but this is a really strong performance.
Evertonians must be thinking how can we be so poor and so inconsistent at home? This is a really disappointing performance so far.


Stephen Warnock gives his history as Ex Liverpool and Aston Villa yet as far as I can see he played most games for BRFC! Not only that but that pic appears to show him in a Rovers kit.
