Now why does Denis Healey's put down of Geoffrey Howe.... "It's like being savaged by a dead sheep" spring to mind?
This is what happens when we don't have America stood directly behind us with teeth bared.

All these idiot lefties who love to ridicule Trump and slate America endlessly either don't realise or don't care about the security risk to the UK of alienating them.

Russia, China, even Saudi Arabia couldn't give a monkey's what we say on our own.

Quite right (for once).

That's why they listen to us and we're so much stronger as part of the EU.

The US is not our friends and in peacetime never have been, but particularly with "America First" Trump in the White House
Yeah ok then, we're stronger as part of a group of nations who overwhelmingly shirk their NATO responsibilities and refuse to invest in defence, because even THEY work on the assumption the US will look after them.

The US "is" not our friends is, even grammatical error aside, ridiculous. It's a country of people who love the royal family, have a shared native language, actually were British 250 years ago, who's military personnel has fought and trained with ours for decades, and who are led by a guy who's mum was British.

Meanwhile our good friends in the EU have been attempting a punishment exit for us from day 1 of Brexit.

Apparently that Stormzy went down well at Glastonbury.
The show opened with an introductory video of Jay-Z giving Stormzy advice for his history-making Glastonbury set. The US star explained he could use the moment to change culture, and inspire future generations of black children.

Can anyone imagine the fuss that would have caused if some white singer had said the same but replaced 'black' with 'white'?

I really struggle to understand how things are so skewed in our society. I realise history places lots of blame of white caucasians for misdeeds over the centuries but surely that's only because we moved weaponry forward. Muskets v spears is rather unequal of course but warfare isn't racist is it? The two great world wars in history were fought mainly between white caucasian nations after all.
However I maintain if it had been the african nations who discovered gunpowder and steel first then I have no doubt that history would have worked in reverse. Thousands of years of African history right up to present day reveals tribal warfare was happening right across Africa long long before the first europeans landed there but who cares about that now? Which woolly liberal schoolteachers ever labour that point to their classes? Similarly lots of wars on the Indian sub-continent (and indeed across asia... rem Genghis?) between people of the same race and colour based on the caste system.
It is mans inhumanity to fellow man that this pair of rappers should concentrate on and not add fuel to the current and very destructive 'everybody hates us' mentality which can only work against any faint hope of integration. Lets be honest if human beings can happily gain at the expense of other human beings then they damned well will.

Perhaps not, every nation will always look after it's own interests first. I noted that you jumped on the chlorinated chicken platform recently. Let me remind you that our 'friends' across the channel had us eating horse bought as beef for nigh on 20 years! Similarly instead of admitting BSE was present in their herds the French christened it colloquially 'JCB disease' and shot and buried any evidence. Remember the French farming industry controls the govt over there.

Just as an aside John how many of the current eu nations have we NEVER been in military conflict with at one time or another?

This doesn't make good reading.
I know the anti-terrorism teams have to cope with a vast number of threats but surely this should have been prevented?

Again I find myself referring to the warnings given by Powell which many chose to disregard......
Above all, people are disposed to mistake predicting troubles for causing troubles and even for desiring troubles: "If only," they love to think, "if only people wouldn't talk about it, it probably wouldn't happen."
At all events, the discussion of future grave but, with effort now, avoidable evils is the most unpopular and at the same time the most necessary occupation for the politician. Those who knowingly shirk it deserve, and not infrequently receive, the curses of those who come after.

Somebody's making mischief.....

Now before he's removed from his post I'd like to hear Kim Darroch give his opinions to the press and media on OUR parliament! A more accurate definition of the old adage 'People in glass houses' I cannot readily think of.

Seems the issue is working nicely for whoever wants to sabotage our previously good relationship with the worlds biggest economy. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48903915
No doubt Farage will be the popular choice to replace him... and get him and his Brexit Party out of the Tories hair in the process. Two birds with one stone? The list of possible culprits and their motives grows longer by the hour! Remainers? Men in grey suits? Putin? EU mandarins? McDonnell?
Who was it who said 'Politics is a dirty business'?

The leaks were reported by journalist Isabel Oakeshott, who has close links to Garage and his Brexit Party associates. They were obviously orchestrated by Garage and other Brexiteers for various purposes.

Today, trade secretary Liam "a deal with the EU will be the easist deal in history" Fox said the leaker was “unprofessional, unethical and unpatriotic” and could face prosecution.

That is very uncharitable from Fox to say such things about his fellow Conservative and (unbelievably) prospective PM, Alexander Johnson. De Pfeiffel was foreign secretary when these cables were received. He also has links to Oakeshott. I'm not sure Sherlock Holmes is required for this one

As for the contents of the leak, surely this is just common knowledge - we don’t need a leaked email from the US ambassador to outline the sheer ineptitude and dysfunctional nature of the Trump administration.

Shocking that isn't it? We need to firm a political party which stands up for and represents heterosexual white males with a wife and children and in full employment. Thought least of in all matters but carrying the weight of the nation on our shoulders!

Another one whose gone past her sell by date. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48938691
I sincerely hope that the ghosts of the countless thousands drowned in the Med after being encouraged by her to make the trip in dodgy boats and her 'Come on over to Europe' call have come back in her head and are haunting her every hour of the day.

Merkel didn’t help but they were coming anyway. We’ve seen what migrants will do to get where they want to go. Abandon their families, fight with border police, riot in detention centres, risk drowning, being enslaved by gangs etc. Merkel didn’t have to twist their arm.

But what she didn’t do, and what most of Europe didn’t, is tell them very firmly not to come here and they won’t get in. Only eastern Europe did that.

The migrant crisis, at its peak around the Brexit referendum, is what clinched it for Leave. Just think if the PC-police hadn’t screamed racist at anyone mentioning immigration for the last 20 years, we’d still be in the EU. The left once again shooting themselves in the foot.
