In all seriousness Trump should stop tweeting or if he's addicted at least put a layer of censorship in place between him and the twitter reading public. By tweeting something he's found on the internet which can quite easily be made up / manufactured by persons unknown is foolish at best. By using his position as POTUS to do so unfortunately in this case validates all things....... or at least it used to.

Or he causes those who hate or despise him (and won’t change their minds), to seize on these “mistakes” and vent their spleen (and waste their air time) on such nonsensical issues, while he and his team spend their time on tax reform and rolling back the administrative state, both of which are happening.

His opponents are allowing their emotions to cloud their judgment. So he keeps throwing idiotic thing at them which they are compulsive about latching onto. Trump is not like most politicians. He is fully aware that 1/2 the country despise him. He doesn’t care, unlike traditional politicians, and takes full advantage of it.

Whether intentional or unintentional (which depends on your view of Trump), the net effect is that he is succeeding in distracting his opposition.

That’s very kind of him . Now that he’s been found out he’s offered to pay it back . In the real world if an employee was found guilty of this sort of expenses dodge he’d be sacked for gross misconduct

What makes it even more galling is the money he’s falsely claimed is our money , the taxpayer .
