The real Brexit thread

They were practically dead and buried at one point a few months ago. Dunno about you but I started being nicer to try and encourage a few back on (didn't last long though!).
Some one should post the telephone number for the Samaritans on there after today's announcement that Brexit will start next Wednesday

Any referendum would be pathetic. After centuries the ink still isn't dry on the last result and so every time something doesn't quite suit the SNP will be at it again calling for ever more referendums. A quick scan in any telephone directory under Mc will reveal how much this country has welcomed and supported the Scots and bring into focus the ingratitude of the SNP. Precisely the same rule can be applied to the Irish and Welsh for that matter. Never much large scale migration in the other direction is there?
However should they get their wish and should any vote be a victory for leaving the union then this country would be best served with a Trump style wall between here and Scotland to safeguard our borders from cross border trading plus a lower tax code for any scottish nationals earning a living down here. An extra 5% on their tax might make them think twice before they register their inbred discontent. Harsh maybe but surely fair on the rest of the Union.
Still a fan of us Northerners I see ;) Sturgeon is doing herself no favours north of the border, let her kick and scream all she wants. I knew a number of people heavily involved in the original referendum and none are prepared to vote out now. Just like Cameron she's thrown her toys out of the pram when every britain needs to pull together. Let her have her vote Scotland will remain part of the UK.

Just to add insult to injury, we pay them to have more kids
Had a chat with a Conservative party member a couple of months back and he said that it was on the govts agenda to limit Child Benefit to 3 kids and that that should limit indiscriminate breeding. My opinion was that it will make no difference to certain sections as for some money is not the motivation for procreation. Erdogan's words (and similar from Ghadaffi a few years back) rather validate this don't they? Europe is sleepwalking into a disaster for subsequent generations.

There is probably a Sharia scheme that allows you to borrow against future earnings of male off springs at 0%

So living outside of the EU is the new bubble,

I never knew the EU was the center of the universe and master of all (some of the EU elites probably see it that way)

Keep up the good work Dave

Keep it up Dave. That Batman guy is an absolute pillock. He's incapable of discussing anything without insulting anybody who opposes him. I think Abbey knows him from a previous incarnation. Shillito or something like it was it Abs?

Those who have warned of islamic ambition for almost two generations will get little thanks. It's the way of the world unfortunately.

Indeed. Erdogan is another big reason getting out of Europe was the right thing to do. Its amazing to think border policing of the most popular migrant route into the EU is in the hands of someone who apparently wants us bred to extinction!

To this chap we ARE all kuffars though aren't we and he is doing his Gods work? He'll have been brought up from the cradle to believe that whatever he does to us non believers will be OK.

After posting on the darkside thread, I'm awaiting some comeback, good or bad.....
But people should get used to the fact that things are changing, and no amount of whinging will change things. So make the best of the situation.
I read your opinions dave. Is it only I who thinks it would be revealing if people declared on their profile whether they work in either the Private or Public sector (or large industry) re Brexit? I've a feeling a significantly higher %age of Brexiteers will come from the Private sector whilst those from the Public sector who have been clamped on one nipple or another their whole life will be terrified of being ripped away from it. I may be guilty of generalising but thats how I interpret the background to some of the posts made.

btw I keep reading vague threats that we will suffer all manner of economic chaos when we leave the eu, however correct me if I am wrong but given that we contributed something like 30%-40% (?) of the eu kitty and also accepting that May tells em to swivel for that 50bn they are demanding how much do people think some of the weaker eu economies will suffer from losing us?

Just an unfounded but true observation. The first time I went abroad was 1972 when a pal and I drove a 10 year old Moggy 1000 through France and Switzerland to Italy and back. Away for a month and I rem thinking how poor their roads were compared to ours. 40 years later it's gone full circle! We've chucked that much at them that we can't support and maintain our own infrastructure. Many of our roads have gone back to resembling cart tracks.

Batman da da dadada da Batman.

Interesting point there, Drog, about where people work. I don't know whether it's true, but the general thrust of your comment is correct.
Some people are terrified of change, so much so that they become closed to any other options, so consequently don't look for them.
I did ask philipl what his "plan B" was, but he never answered me. Surely, someone like Philip, presumably an astute businessman, would have an alternative in the event of a change in operating circumstances.

He is not an astute business man though, he is on the EU teat, even though he tries to now deny it. He does not have a plan b because his arrogance did not allow him to consider that the UK could leave the Bilderberg experiment for global control.
He and others are wrapped up in sub plots to make brexit fail so they can say "told you so"

Agree there Yoda, I did say "presumably" to give him the benefit of the doubt.
He does have the appearance of a zealot for the Remain side though.

He lost any benefit of doubt when he posted a few years back that he personally transformed the Maltese economy.
That from someone who locked out the ex wife from her house and accused her of beating him up.
He is in for a rude awakening with his new Chinese wife, unless she has already sussed him out!
