Remember Mixed? Half bitter and half mild. For some reason I used to love it

I did to..... but that was before decent lager was involved. tbh my first steps to drinking lager was a pint of Golden. Half a bitter and half a lager. I can still recommend it tbh.

I always preferred a ‘Brown Split’. Half of Mild in a pint pot with bottle of Brown Ale. I sometimes still drink it but with Bitter rather than Mild.

The 3 Bees Mild is magnificent btw, a real ‘session’ ale.

As for lager you can keep it. It is full of chemicals and makes your brain go mushy

. What a quaint opinion BB. Little Englander or what? The world drinks lager whilst beer is enjoyed by an increasingly ageing section of the male British population.

I used to think that but there are some excellent lagers now. Staropramen, ice cold is my favourite.

Not at the time you weren't. Lager has improved massively since then.

Tried it once, it was nice but strong. I loved the little wide necked Slalom bottles with the metal rip top for some reason. They went to plenty house parties in the 5th and 6th forms.

I ordered some bottles from this brewery recently, they did not last very long (2 of my neighbours came round ).
