Time for a pint!

A few days ago, the Mrs and I took our grandkids to Canberra.
We had a pretty good time, warm weather, Floriade ( a flower festival) and a sojourn to Questacon (a science journey for kids).
But, I found a quirky bar. A Canadian themed bar in Kingston ACT.
I wondered in for a quick ale (I was wanted to cart the kids back) and I found a collection of ales I'd previously encountered in Ontario when my daughter got married over there.
Anyway, I bought three cans AU$30 the lot.
Result, stunning. Three different beers, but absolutely brilliant.
If you can get them in your country, then do it. It might be expensive, but thoroughly worth while.
Check them out at:

Looks a little bit too trendy for my taste as the focus is on IPA/NEIPA but that Stanger than Fiction Porter do look tasty I have to say.

I only bought 40 bottles of lager on Thursday and was itching to add some variety to that particular bread and butter of mine. Enter the stouts.

And, yes, I feel slightly dubious about the "coffee & vanilla notes", but it's an interesting bottle to say the least.

Going all in on stouts this weekend, are we? ;)

Btw, time to share some frustration about Britain. Why the heck is it so hard for your companies to send, for instance, a small package that includes a t-shirt to other countries in Europe? It was the same when you were part of the EU so no change since Brexit except the custom fees. I have been looking at some brewery t-shirts and their webpages always says: "delivery to UK only"

Yuk! I'll bet it's designed to taste the same coming back up as it is going down.

Yes. Dessert ales! I only do the odd one occasionally because they are a bit heavy. I had the St. Peter's Cream Stout last night and it was really nice. Probably one to share as it is a bit on the rich side.
