Just started watching Babylon Berlin.
A lavish Jazz Age German film noir with subtitles that's got me scouring for cheap flights to Germany.
* Edit: think it originally aired on Sky Atlantic.

Snap! Thats a coincidence SLKS. I started watching this earlier this week. Next up is Series 1 Episode 6! I was actually going to recommend it on here but you've beaten me to it.
Never thought I'd have the patience to watch a sub-titled TV series but it's surprising how quickly one can adapt to it.

Great minds Drog!
We're seriously going to binge on this before 'winter comes'.
Some of the Scandinavian modern Gothic series, a few years back, really transcended the subtitle barrier and showed up a lot of the stuff being served up on British television for the sterile and formulaic crap it had become.

Line of Duty..... just watched it again after nodding off half way through at about 12 midnight on Monday. Reason..... Slightly DIP (look it up below;)) the night before, an early morning, a round of golf in a hoolie and a 200 mile drive home, a big tea and a glass or two of wine.
Anyway bloody great production and solid acting but I'm afraid that I had to open this on my laptop to make any sense of it. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8767468/line-of-duty-acronyms-ocg-uco-itv-drama/
Pretty sure that I won't be alone.

Crikey, you'd need a printout of that to refer to during the episode.

I understand the abbreviations

It’s also very accurate. The best drama on tv at the moment.

Whohoo! Line of Duty back and NOW it's GoT Season 8 (ironically now that summer is coming)! My cup runneth over! I'm already dreading seeing the pair of them finishing in a few weeks time.

Wasn't a big fan of Line of Duty but of course GoT is awesome.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I'm a bit gutted that it looks as though they'll now be rushing the ending given such a measured build-up. 4 episodes to resolve the whitewalkers, Cersei's army/navy, Snow's claim to the throne and the North's independence. 4 episodes in an earlier series would have just seen Danaerys piddling about with one of the slave cities.

Seems weird given the show's blatant popularity. Money can't be a problem and I'm sure they'll end up making prequels and spin-offs aplenty. Why not continue with the slow pace and finish the series off properly.
