Me too ODB. Great acceleration and a jack in the box but unfortunately his one weakness is his top end speed.

Found it! I wonder if the other midfielders get some first team action in their teams? Maybe Weir and Sibley?

My point being Al is that he is already a regular starter in a team that is in the second tier. i haven’t looked but I would suspect most players in the England U20 squad would only be squad members at best in their respective teams. I love watching Dolan play.
Agreed but it seems a shame to deny him international honours.

So no Dolan but Clarkson is in the squad. Maybe he shows up better playing with kids. Also I see Branthwaite is in the squad. I liked him. Wonder why THB isn't in? Is he not English?

Tyreece John jules.... Blackpool? Topical. Seems he's on loan from Arsenal.

also Tommy Doyle/ Hamburg on loan from city. We were being linked with taking him on loan in summer weren't we?

No Tyrhys, screw up big time, get pissed, fail a drugs test and spend the night in your hotel with a couple of prozzies....... then no one will want to buy you.

Might be too late Theno. He indulged in the old badge kissing when he scored against Derby...that's usually a prelude to a transfer 😁

To be honest Dolan doesn't score enough goals for me.But he also reminds me of Duff maybe one trick less but it's a learning process.

I must say his celebration was a little different with a slide affair rather than a somersault this time.

Personally I don't think there's much there at all quality-wise. Unfortunately this isn't the era of Waddle/Gazza/Beardsley and tricks without pace generally don't work in modern football (quicker defenders and a lot more allowed shirt-pulling/obstructions).

The one thing I'll say about Dolan is his work-rate from the front is immense. I think he's got more worth in galvanising the team than in individual quality.

Not sure you can judge him as yet b&wh. His 5 yard pace is electric which is needed for footballers but his top end rather lacking. His energy seems limitless and his ball control and balance are top quality. I see him playing 'in the hole' when he's older mirroring Duggies career.
* Incidentally Duggie was absolutely livid at HT on Tuesday.
