Not sure you can judge him as yet b&wh. His 5 yard pace is electric which is needed for footballers but his top end rather lacking. His energy seems limitless and his ball control and balance are top quality. I see him playing 'in the hole' when he's older mirroring Duggies career.
* Incidentally Duggie was absolutely livid at HT on Tuesday.
Was Dougie livid with the team, our Manager, or our fans? Or a combination?

I was bloody fuming 😡 with our Manager and with our fans for the booing. As for the players they were just sh!te 🙄😂😂

I would never boo the team but Tues almost warranted it
The team election was on a par with the debacle at Reading a few years ago when TM threw our faint hope of making the play offs with a suicidal team choice
Now you could call me a cynic? But Tues team selection defies any known logic - it wasn't dictated by injury - it was just plain awful

Well no one knew JRD would have such a poor match but there was only one stand out 'awful' and that was looking to Bradley Johnson to be our main goal threat. When I saw the team sheet I assumed that Rothwell would be up there and Johnson partnering Trav in central midfield. TM did switch them about 10 mins before HT but by then we were all at sea.

So can you defend TM taking 35mins to suss out what the rest of us could see within seconds of kick off?
We were all at sea from 7.45
I arrived just at kick off time with no idea of the team - and when I was told the line up - all I could say was WTF is he playing at

Nope but as I said at the ko I assumed Johnson would be deep midfield.

His attitude has always been incredible. For some reason a game that has stuck in my memory is Millwall away in 2020/21. Dolan (19 at the time) was brought in to play centre forward for a tough fixture at an intimidating ground, in the middle of a very bad run (we'd lost 6 of the last 7). As usual at that time he was limited on the ball, but his phenomenal attitude and work-rate galvanised the whole team and we won 2-0.

What I like now though is that he does seem good on the ball. He's got a lot stronger, the confidence is flowing through him, the step-overs are back, and he's chipping in with goals. Thomas giving the opposition something to worry about on the other side has definitely helped.

I really like that front 4 against Sheff Utd. BBD can be a super-sub now if he wants to keep giving it 75% and stay injury free for Villareal.

Except I don't feel that he was quite as 'super' as Dolan after he replaced him.
