Too bloody cold to stay longer than necessary imo. Fireworks don't really work for me at my age and I didn't want to miss my lift back to the warmth and conviviality of the 'local' which is always a nice place to be after a home win.

Not me geedog. I like most genres just as I can detest music from the same genres. Only stuff that I can't begin to like is rap and gangsta rap in particular.
Re: indie. I rem a lad from our school made a name for himself with a new wave band back in the day before converting in part to indie, splitting up and re forming much later. Darwen lad and rovers fan Neil Arthur (Blancmange).

I feel cheated as I was supposed to be in Austin Texas (Vaughan's home town) later this week for my nephew's wedding.
Sod a cancer diagnosis (but that bit hopefully has been pissed off) but I couldn't chance a health problem in the US

I attended between 1976 and 1983 by the time I left the sixth form. Yes it was called Knowle before then, just one step up from a Borstal when I first attended although we were softened up and prepared for the big school by two years in the lower school on Union Street.

Neil was three years older than me if I remember correctly.
