Congrats to the women golfers of Europe for winning the Solheim Cup against the USA and a very partisan crowd (due to travel restrictions).
Only the second time in history they've managed an away win.
Let's hope the guys can pull off a win in the Ryder cup later this month to match them.

Justin can be relied upon, especially on the final day singles. It's just about suicidal to leave him out. Harrington must have had a brain fart.

Or a spat in the past perhaps?

Having only recently ‘ got into golf ‘ , with a current world handicap of 28.3 ( yes , very impressive I know ) I’m bemused about the commotion surrounding the Ryder Cup . Team Europe , playing under an EU flag and standing to the EU anthem . Umm 🤔

Anyway the score is currently - the US 9 Europe 3 - not looking good . Is this heading for the cricket equivalent of a 5-0 Ashes series defeat ?

Good to see you've got your handicap OOT.
Ryder Cup is looking disastrous unless we get a 4-0 win in the fourballs.

Not with me I'm afraid WB. :( Maybe if we had ten or so John Rahms we might give em 'a do' but not with the options available to Harrington I'm afraid. Best we can hope for is to elongate the moment of defeat as long as possible. It helps that I would have tipped the US to win this weeks ago.

OK guys, I'm looking to buy a new set of clubs.

What have you guys got in your bag?
I'm looking at a set of Taylormade P790.

Must say if I was looking for a new set I'd certainly want to have a go with the Cobra One Length clubs. All the iron's shafts are 7 iron length which are claimed to make for a consistent stance and which makes a lot of sense regarding swing speed. One of the pros at Pleasi says they are a good idea as most club golfers struggle with the longer irons, he did say though that he didn't like using a longer wedge / sand iron etc.
Try em out dave and report back.

Looks like a nice track dave. Don't the roos spoil the design of the grass and shrubbery, particularly in the rough?

It is a good (two) course(s).36 holes located on the banks of the Hawkesbury river. It's a touch over 6km in length.
Unfortunately, due to severe flooding one of the courses was out of action.
Wide fairways, slick greens, and lots of water as one of our group found out. He ended up in chest deep water trying to retrieve a ball.
The 'roos seem to stay away from the greens and fairways, so they were no hindrance, they just hop away when you get close.
Crows, on the other hand, are a menace. Fly in, pick up your ball and fly off, as well as getting into the carts and bags looking for a feed.
