I see Burnley are off to an easy start.... Away to Chelsea! Lets hope someone manages to tempt Dyche away soon although I'd imagine he is on a Kings ransom at Burnley as long as they stay in the Prem.

Thought the bookies had Dyche down as the frontrunner for Palace?

Please

The fees in the prem this summer are absolutely bonkers. Pickford almost as much as Buffon roflmao. You would think all this money would be plowed back into football to better the game and our own players? England could be number one at this sport if they did so as no other league comes close to it financially. But no a Hull CB is worth 20m instead!

Funny how the Europa League is a "major European trophy" now that Scumchester have won it.
Is it possible to have only major European trophies? Surely to have a major a minor must also exist? With only two cups on offer I am afraid Utd won the boobie prize.

I'd shade it to Arsenal getting the best deal. Aguero is an out and out striker which is something Arsenal have been missing since RVP left. Sanchez has a creative side to him which imo isn't a priority for Arsenal. However imo Arsenal's pressing need is for another Patrick Vierra in central midfield. They have gone through a hatful of gifted players in midfield but all of whom were too lightweight since they lost Vierra and Petite. The likes of Ozil and Cazorla etc are fair weather players and don't have a tackle in em.

They've never replaced Vieira and Sol Campbell. That was, 10 (?) years ago now, and the only thing you can really hold against Wenger. He needs a midfield destroyer and a solid center back before they can aspire to anything higher than challenging for 4th anytime soon.

Personally, Aguero is the better player. Citeh are still going through their early Abramovic Chelsea phase of just buying all the popular names in European football rather than what they actually need or who would fit their system. Why would you swap Sanchez for Aguero? Sanchez will want a metric fuckload of cash and is not really any better. Plus, give it 1, maybe 2 seasons then Barca / Real come calling and he'll be in the papers every other week bitching and moaning until he goes, then they'll have to piss more money away on the next next big thing. If it aint broke, don't try and fix it. Unless the fix is Zidane, then even if you have Sherwood, fix it..

So Everton seem set to sell Lukaku to United and want to take Rooney back! Beyond ridiculous which club are kids going to want to support growing up in Liverpool? The club that would never sell to United or the one that acts like their bitch all the time? Don't think Lukaku will prove to be that special but I'm damn certain Rooney won't.

Both will score 20+ next season
A bold statement Abbey. I believe Lukaku might but Rooney won't.
Interesting situation with Maureen and Lukaku. He's binned him off before but this return suggests that he mighty be considering the christmas tree formation that served him well with Drogba up top. This would mean MU playing without recognised wide men and that rarely goes down well at OT.

Embarrassed for Everton and sympathise with any of their fans disgusted by the past 24 hours. Bet some of them are getting stick for refusing to welcome Rooney back. They should point out that many of those rolling out the red carpet are the ones who were calling him a judas. Its equally embarrassing selling Lukaku to them at the SAME time! How could they boo Lukaku now though without looking completely foolish?

No wonder fans are turned into corporate puppets so easily and players, managers, owners, etc get away with so much. Everton have set a horrendous example here. Liverpool FC would never have done this and while they are more anti-United than Everton my impression was its a city that does not like Mancunians in general. Maybe that's not so true after all?

Hilariously I've seen some United fans calling Rooney a traitor.
