To be honest, as a twice daily victim of the dreadful driving, parking and generally flagrant disregard of the highway code in Blackburn, I've got little tolerance for people who can't be bothered to follow road rules. If he wanted to help the guy, why didn't he just find a legal parking spot and walk from there. I doubt the homeless guy was going anywhere in the extra 2 minutes it would have taken.
Certainly wouldn't have set off for home would he?

I can understand your attitude on normal work days - and I would agree - but this was Christmas Day. No buses running, not a car in sight on the photograph and the bus stop has its own lay-by. It's not as though he has parked blocking the road and forced the non-existent other cars to go down the wrong side.
But, hey fine the guy £70 for doing a good turn and causing no disruption whatsoever.
Could always fine then homeless chap for loitering and / or vagrancy..... but then again it'd be pointless cos he'd have no money would he? Whilst on the other hand everyone knows that motorists are a soft target !

He made a right prat of himself, more importantly though was the reaction of the audience, I got the distinct impression that they are sick and tired of the left wing vitriol that is around these days. That probably explains a poll today giving the Tories a 4% lead. Just how bad must Comrade Corbyn’s Labour be ?

Question Time was loaded with the usual Tory plants in the audience.

David Dimbleby picked a member of the audience to speak, and what came out of one person's mouth sounded suspiciously like a poorly drafted Tory party press release about what a great job Theresa May is doing.

The person in question turned out to be Tory councillor and this is far from the first time a serving Tory politician has masqueraded as an ordinary member of the public to spread pro-Tory propaganda on Question Time.

Question Time is right-wing biased enough already without this effort to infest the audience with pro-Tory plants. The show almost always consists of four neoliberal pro-austerity panellists lining up against a solitary progressive voice, and to make matters worse Dimbleby has a appalling habit of repeatedly interrupting non-Tories, and allowing right-wing panel members to interrupt too.

The BBC make such a big deal out of their supposed neutrality, but they really do have to get a grip on the Tory plant problem, and make sure that every audience member who is invited to speak on the show is vetted beforehand to ensure that they're not political plants.

Don't you have a TV controller in your house Chris? Turn it off if it's too upsetting for you. I'd imagine you and your housemate John could then watch repeats of old Julian Clary shows. If you are fed up with them you'll prob be able to find Barrymore somewhere on youtube.

But in response to your post it was rather the opposite on Thursday as the appallingly noisy empty head Terry Christian interrupted everybody and everything. Bad breeding and even worse manners personified. What's the BBC's reason for asking him on to the panel? I'll wager it'll be some time before he gets on again!
It's taken me a long time to find someone that I'd rather thump than that Russell Brand but I believe Christian might give him a good run for his money at the top of my 'Things to do before I die' list.

Rum do that Oxfam business. All they did was use prostitutes for sex..... Now prossies aren't really my cup of tea but isn't that what they are for? Also doesn't it help the local economy? Storm in a teacup.

Might upset the animal lovers here but none of the royal family critics minded upsetting the monarchy lovers in that thread so what the heck.

Labour proposing that landlords should no longer be able to take a default stance of no pets and would have to produce evidence a pet is a nuisance. Not sure how a landlord would go about obtaining that evidence without some laborious, endless process. From my experience a pet owner is more likely to join IS than recognise there's anything remotely anti-social about their pet.

One of my first priorities in choosing somewhere to rent is whether there's some endlessly barking dog in the vicinity. No-pet allowed apartment blocks are a godsend.

Sorry but I don't agree with you. Some old people living alone depend on their pets and they should not be forced to give them up, particularly in the case of a forced purchase of their property.

I hope then that you are never the landlord of a property that some poor OAP has had to move to because of a compulsory purchase. You don't have to live there so your allergies are irrelevant.
Why does everybody want to pick arguments with me? I'm normally not an argumentative person and like to get on with everybody.
