I'll give you that Chris , you revised your position in your reply below rather than corrected you first post :
" The devalued pound (a weak currency is a sign of weak economy BTW) has helped exporters but the biggest help to manufacturing has been the big upturn in the global economy "
Hey Chris I don't disagree , the global revival is helping world trade - that's great. The UK manufacturing sector has a cherry on the top because of a competitive exchange rate . You should be celebrating that not moaning about it.
