I'd suggest you're not bored, you just don't like the royal family so object to anyone talking about them. At the end of the day rapists, paedophiles and terrorists have the right to get married in this country, child marriage is on the rise, forced arranged marriage is on the rise and I'm sure thousands are sham marrying just to get visas to live here.

Of all the marriages, why anyone can muster ill-will for this one is beyond me.

Some of the other marriages that b&wh listed aren’t shoved in our faces due to “cultural & religious sensitivities “ Perhaps we should have forced marriages , child marriages , non- registered marriages shoved in our faces more often so the government would be pressured in to helping those poor girls & women who are victims

Every 2 minutes? The royal family are mentioned less in the news every year. But like it or not, only 18% of people want rid of them (albeit a loud 18%) so major events with them will always get coverage.

I consider myself to be very pragmatic about the economy so I wouldn't support them if they didn't make us money, but they do, a lot:

Add to that their place in British history, this great country that revolutionised industry, pioneered democracy, and once ruled a third of the world.

Name any other empire that was, are the Italians compensating most of Europe for their conquests, are the Ottomans rebuilding half of Aisa and Europe, have the Spanish re built South America, have the Dutch sorted out half of Africa ?
