They are both crap. I'd say Raya is the better shot stopper as he proved in the game against us - Though he did get megged for our goal so you could say he lost the game before keeping them in it with 2 top saves.

Correct. What Walton brings to the team doesn't catch the eye in the same way as a blinding reaction save.
I guess one needs to have played in a back four for a time to appreciate that quality. A good keeper is verbal and commands and positions the entire defence. Peter Schmeichel was the best that I have seen in the Prem and he did both well.

Where do we get the idea Raya was crap?
I cant think of a single (important i.e match losing) mistake he made

Sure there were cock ups but in general they were long after the horse had bolted result wise
We knew his distribution wasn't great at times, but Walton continues to aim at Armstrong instead of Gallagher so what's the difference except he doesn't put it in the stands as often (he might as well!!)

You keep going on about him being in command of the defence, if the story about Mulgrew posted earlier is true, it could explain that Mulgrew is a bully and as senior pro he may have been the reason Raya kept quiet

I suspect Raya will be playing in the prem next year - Brentford are flying and if they do go up I bet they don't replace him

Who is organising Brentfords defence?? because it seems to be working

Prob unfair but....
Start of his career https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co....-first-major-mistake-blackburn-rovers-career/

Two weeks ago https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...-on-david-rayas-performance-against-millwall/

As I've said till I'm blue in the face he's a top reaction keeper but not the dominant force between the sticks that most defences and defenders rely on. In fairness to Mowbray he gave him every chance to mature and improve his professionalism before he lost patience.

Wow a point dropped from a bad pass out in 2015 when he was 19!!
And a mistake whilst playing for Brentford in late 2019

That must have taken hours to find and its hardly a damning indictment

2 mins. I just googled 'david raya mistakes'. You try steve.

btw but never mind google I can recall lots of goofs in between. As I said a remarkable shot stopper but just so weak in other areas.

Ollie Rathbone is Mike Rathbone's son. I've only seen him against NUFC in the FA Cup but he seemed to be involved in most things and had a good game. Nevertheless we need someone to score goals.

Re:Curtis "The news of Rovers’ interest in Curtis comes following the news that Charlton Athletic have had a bid accepted for long-term Rovers target Marcus Maddison from Peterborough United."

That's a strange one. I expect he's somewhere else lined up.

I wonder if we will see him in the famous blue and white halves again then?

I didn't know they can end their loan?
Nor did I. It was either desperate at Wigan or he needed to return in order to move elsewhere. I wonder what TM has to say at his Press Conference on Thursday.

Could be that Cook has found another CH and informed Mulgrew that he'll be on the bench till May.... just as Mowbray did which led to Mulgrew wanting a place in someone's First 1X in the first place.
