Who the heck is Dillon? you mean Dylan.....

Its a bit like that **** Cameron liking The Smiths and Eton Rifles, get a bleedin grip Tories/Pleasington set.....

Anyway I noticed Deep Purple released an album today, not my thing really but apparently massive in 70's, real super group.

Went to look at John Bonhams grave last week, just down the road from us, covered in drum sticks, cymbals and a small amount of cannabis.

Dillon.......
Apparently a massive supergroup ?
They still are and the new album will be blasted out next week

Thought I saw a few Slipknot posters around Chorley yesterday, where would they play in Chorley ?
Deep Purple were indeed a huge group and still have a massive following, they played a new track on Radio 2 on Friday.

They would only do that if the wanted Delhi belly lol
Thought it might have been a tribute band or something (if one exists) strange to put posters up on road junctions in Chorley though, its not exactly the centre of the music world or anything else for that matter!

Didn't know Deep Purple had a new album, have to give it a look. Legends! They're touring with Europe this year, so might have to treat the old man to go see them.

Got tickets to (finally) see Metallica at the MEN in October too. Maiden were awesome there a few years back, but never seen Metallica and their new album is one of their best yet!

Great track but God (and presumably Bob) only knows what it's about. Like much of Dylans stuff from that era. Hard Rains gonna fall is another. Lots of intellectual pseuds on't internet try to uncover hidden meanings to his lyrics but they have as much idea as the man on the moon. As for me I can't be arsed but I can enjoy his music and delivery.

Welcome to em Abbey. I can't think of anything worse.

tbh It's one of my pet gripes. I bloody hate Pub singers! They are just sole karaoke acts these days. I can live with a decent pianist or an acoustic guitar or a small jazz band but no one would get near to performing in any pub I had if I caught them plugging an amp in! DJ's at private functions are even worse and must think we are all deaf and there solely to listen to whatever they are playing. They spoil 'do's because when people haven't seen friends and relatives for years no one can chat and certainly not with more than one person at a time before their ears are assaulted by some numpty with a deck.

btw No idea why the H&S exec aren't all over loud acts like a rash. If people at work other than bartenders had to suffer even 3/4 that level of decibels they would be . My mate's got tinnitus and it's not good.

Amen to that Drog. The Bay in Baxenden have a group every Friday and I believe Saturday evening and you can hear them within a quarter of a mile. I bloody hate that. If I go to a pub I want to talk to people not get my ears blasted out. I don't mind a bit of background music or if I go specifically to listen I enjoy an acoustic folk group but loud crap I can't stand.

Traditional Folk. Sea shanties, Clancys etc. Don't do the modern electric folk. I do like some country and western too.
