Watched them live a few times in their peak years and also much later. Sounded just the same. Excellent band and musicians.

The 3/4 day Songkran (New Year) festival has just finished here and I stupidly agreed to spend it at the village of my wife's family in the jungle in the middle of nowhere.
Every day the music starts at 9 am and is non stop until late evening. Played in the village over huge speakers at max volume and deepest bass it drowns out even the thought processes. It is the loudest music that I have been exposed to since seeing Status Quo live in the '70s. That damaged my hearing and so has this.
The locals are completely oblivious to it and pissed up on Lao Khao the 100% proof local rocket fuel which makes you blind as well as hearing challenged.
The did a full day of local Rap music. I cannot begin to describe the experience but as said to a mate by phone today - next year I'll have some fun maybe waterboarding at GB.
I never knew before how much you could get to hate music ...... and the fuckers who were playing it.

I get that feeling every time there's some pub singer trapping up in the local complete with speakers the size of family suitcases.
