Elton John is twice the artist Rod Stewart will ever be. And that's coming from a Rock / Metal fanatic. Some have it,some don't and Elton most definitely had it.

Elton John is a writer, a musician and a performer. Rod has a great voice and has applied it superbly to make some great music.
Personally speaking I'd rather go to see Rod Stewart and more importantly I'd much rather have a beer with Rod. Also if I'm ever on DI Discs Maggie May would have to figure somewhere. It was symbolic of my mid / late teenage years and the Mod culture in general.

I've been presented with 2 tickets to the Stones in June sometime. I must be mad..... who tf wants to go and see septuagenarian rockers wearing some other buggers hair?
