Being of the Mod generation all those years ago the Small Faces were one of my favourite bands (btw only one of em left now:(). Anyway I always knew Steve Marriot had a good voice for rock and roll but after hearing this track (recorded in '66 two years before Led Zeppelin's rather more famous version but never released as a single as it didn't really suit their image at the time) I have to upgrade good to great. It's accepted that Robert Plant actually copied Marriot's style of delivery. I have to say that imo very few vocalists past or present could do justice to this song... and even fewer at 19!
See what you think.......

It would be great news if this approach was the beginning of the end for ticket touts and the ridiculous prices on most re-sale sites

Well done Ed Sheeran.

A couple of years ago I tried to get Stone Roses tickets for my daughter.

Within 5 minutes of them going on sale they announced they were sold out - I was online ready and waiting but never got connected to Ticketmaster.
10 minutes later loads were on sale at £250 for a ticket priced at £70 on the GETMEIN site - coincidentally owned by Ticketmaster!!

Then, after people had paid those prices in desperation, Ticketmaster announced an extra night and tickets were available again at face value.

Complete con.

I got some eventually from TWICKETS which will only sell at face value. A lot of hassle though. Hope you enjoyed it.

Luckily, most of the gigs I go to are £10.00 on the door or even less.

Been twice now, Manchester and London. Enjoyed the Manchester one more really but the day out in London was better. They are good but the set list was the same and at both they end the show, clear off and get a taxi out of there before the echo of the last chord falls silent. They will be back once the next lot of money runs out.

I think the Soft Cell version is the best despite it being 'too gay'...... hope I'm not taking the maestro's name in vain there!

Off to see Bryan Adams at the MEN shortly. Originally had planned to take the Mrs for a few drinks and a meal in Manchester beforehand.

Thanks to the frikkin rail strike I now have to drive, so we won't be going as early

I like Bryan Adams. If he's considered a rocker I still rate him. Probably too conventional for some.
